What you’ll do at DBH:
The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, managing, and overseeing the entire housekeeping program for a 291-bed healthcare facility. Ensuring a clean, safe and sanitary environment while supervising housekeeping personnel and maintaining compliance with facility standards and regulations
Key Responsibilities
Housekeeping Operations
Manages housekeeping services for all patient care units, treatment areas, administrative offices and support departments
Ensures patient rooms, seclusion rooms, treatment spaces and common areas are maintained in a clean condition
Establish departmental goals, priorities and performance expectations
Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety and continuous improvement
Ensure consistent application of hospital policies and procedure
Staff Supervision and Development
Recruit, interview, onboard, train and mentor all housekeeping personnel
Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and professional development
Infection Prevention and Safety
Ensure proper cleaning and disinfection practices are followed throughout the hospital
Monitor the safe handling, storage and use of cleaning chemicals and hazardous material
Promote compliance with infection prevention policy and occupational safety regulation
Ensure staff utilizes personal protective equipment (PPE)
Inventory and Linen Management
Maintain inventory of housekeeping equipment, cleaning supplies, chemicals, and personal protective equipment
Conduct and monitor inventory of linen
Oversee maintenance and replacement of housekeeping equipment
This is an hourly position, with a pay range of 9 on the Exempt Pay Schedule. Normal working hours are Monday - Friday from 6:30am-3:00pm. This position is located within our Summit Behavioral Healthcare Campus, 1101 Summit Road, Cincinnati OH 45237.
Unless required by any applicable union contract and/or requirements of the Ohio Revised Code, the selected candidate will begin at Step 1 of the pay range schedule listed above, with an opportunity for pay increase after six months of satisfactory performance and then a yearly raise thereafter.

Position Qualifications:
24 months training or 24 months experience in cleaning practices & procedures; 18 months training or 18 months experience in supervisory principles/techniques; 18 months training or 18 months experience in inventory control.
