POSITION SUMMARY:
The HR Coordinator serves as a central connection and first point of contact for our internal team and external candidates. As a trusted representative of the Human Resources experience, this position needs to reflect our commitment to “Genuine Ozarks Hospitality” through a welcoming, professional and service driven approach. This role also supports several critical HR processes and requires a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills and the ability to successfully manage multiple priorities in an evolving environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Maintain accurate associate and leader records in Workday and UKG Timekeeping including processing and data entry of associate information. This may include pre-hire/onboarding tasks, data reporting, uniform check in/out, compliance trainings, etc.
- Participate in HR special project initiatives that may arise to support HR Compliance, Total Rewards initiatives, hiring efforts, learning & development tracking and Culture & Engagement activities.
- Act as a Point of Contact for general HR questions for associates related to general HR topics such as personal information updates, requests for Workday or UKG updates or passwords resets, basic policies in the associate handbook, etc. Escalates questions related employee relations, employment strategies, corrective actions, etc. to designated HRBP.
- Participate in planning and executing associate events which may include, but are not limited to Taking Root, Hiring Events, Culture & Engagement efforts, open enrollment informational sessions, etc.
- Provide exceptional guest service to both internal and external guests, associates and leaders throughout the organization.
- ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum Degree Preferred: High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Minimum Years of experience: 2-4 years in an entry level HR role
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:
- Strong communication skill, including written communication, verbal communication and telecommunications.
- Ability to listen and understand information and ideas presented through verbal and telecommunications.
- The ability to gather and organize information using a logical and systematic process, including recognizing patterns, examining data to identify potential problems and draw appropriate conclusions, generate appropriate solutions for recommendation.
- Critical ability to build strong rapport and professionally partner with all levels of associates and leadership.
- Outstanding people skills to interact with guests and staff in a professional and friendly manner.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
- Up to 10% as needed to Big Cedar main property
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Regularly sits and works on a computer.
Occasionally stands and walks.
Seldom/never lifts up to 50 lbs.
INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:
Performs tasks and duties under general supervision, using established procedures and innovation. Chooses from limited alternatives to resolve problems. Occasional independent judgment is required to complete work assignments. Often makes recommendations to work procedures, policies, and practices.
