Job Summary
We are seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to provide administrative and operational support to HR functions across our manufacturing facility in Goldsboro. The HR Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring a positive employee experience by supporting onboarding, employee data administration, compliance activities, and HR programs. This position operates in a fast‑paced, shared services environment and requires strong attention to detail, discretion, and the ability to communicate effectively with employees and management at all levels.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
HR Administration & Accuracy
- Accurately enter and maintain employee data in the HRIS system, including new hires, terminations, and employee changes
- Ensure complete, accurate, and proper retention of employee files to meet compliance standards
- Maintain employee personnel files and I‑9 records in accordance with legal and company requirements
- Conduct routine employee data audits to ensure data integrity and compliance
- Maintain professionalism and accuracy in high‑volume or time‑sensitive situations
Employee Support & Conflict Resolution
- Serve as a first point of contact for employee HR‑related inquiries, responding professionally and consistently
- Handle sensitive employee situations with discretion, sound judgment, and confidentiality
- Assist in resolving employee concerns by listening carefully, providing clear information, and escalating issues appropriately
Program Coordination
- Coordinate onboarding activities, including HRIS entry, documentation, IT requests, and communication with new hires
- Manage background checks, drug testing, and E‑Verify processing
- Administer HR programs such as employee referrals, service awards, PPE reimbursement, and education reimbursement
- Support HR inbox requests, internal communications, and monthly reporting needs
- Manage multiple priorities simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
- Support HR initiatives, social responsibility efforts, and additional HR projects as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees and management at all levels
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and integrity
- Strong time‑management and prioritization skills
- Ability to create and maintain spreadsheets to track employee data and HR programs
- Working knowledge of HR laws and regulations (FMLA, FLSA, HIPAA, etc.)
- Professional maturity, sound judgment, and strong ethical standards
Education and Experience
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1–3 years of Human Resources or administrative experience
Preferred:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Experience using HRIS systems
