About the Role

The Operations Support Specialist plays a key role in supporting daily plant operations by coordinating employee communication, assisting with hiring and onboarding, maintaining time and attendance systems, and supporting HR and culture initiatives.

This position serves as a vital link between employees, leadership, and systems — helping ensure smooth operations, strong engagement, and a positive employee experience.


What You'll Be Doing

Employee & Communication Support

    • Serve as a point of contact for common employee questions and concerns, escalating issues as appropriate
    • Support employee relations efforts to maintain a positive, respectful workplace
    • Manage and maintain plant store inventory
    • Coordinate and assist with safety meetings for Recycle and New Pallet operations
    • Maintain communication boards and employee engagement materials

Talent & Hiring Support

    • Assist with the full-cycle hiring process, from application through onboarding
    • Review applications, schedule interviews, and track candidate progress
    • Prepare offer letters and coordinate pre-employment requirements (I-9 verification, drug screening, new hire paperwork)
    • Schedule and support new hire orientation sessions

Timekeeping & Systems Administration

    • Maintain and update daily attendance and timekeeping records
    • Enter new hires into Rippling - HRIS systems
    • Investigate and resolve time discrepancies using available systems, including camera review when needed

HR Operations, Retention & Culture

    • Support retention initiatives such as stay interviews, follow-ups, and annual evaluations
    • Manage and track the Culture Chip program and employee recognition initiatives
    • Administer and monitor the employee referral program
    • Perform general HR administrative tasks, including data entry, documentation, and internal communication

Who You Are

Required

    • Bilingual in English and Spanish
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • 1+ year of experience supporting interviews or hiring processes
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Preferred

    • Associate degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field
    • Prior administrative or HR support experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
