About this role
Job Summary
Performs the day to day technical, clerical, and supportive functions required to ensure effective operation of the Human Resources Department. Provides support for special projects and research as assigned.
Essential Functions
- Coordinates & facilitates hospital orientation.
- Creates new hire packets
- Sends out job descriptions for signatures for all new hires & transfers. Verifies licensing & certifications are up to date. Enters in UKG for tracking and uploads copies.
- Completes onboarding for all new hires to include: license & certification verification, IT Securities, Healthstream, I-9/E-Verify, RFID badge entry.
- Manages and make updates on SUMM-IT Up administration (HR Page)
- Sends out monthly regulatory rounds for HR Department.
- Follows up with new hires for completion of hospital orientation evaluation.
- Processes State of Arizona new hire report.
- Assists with Benefit invoice reconciliation.
- Updates legal postings on bulletin boards throughout Summit Healthcare and outlying clinics.
- Provides information to employees about gym membership & gym orientations. Works closely with marketing on employee giving campaign.
- Distributes mail within HR department.
- Handles all incoming faxes, verification of employment, & ordering of supplies.
- Assist in answering inquiries about open positions. Informs applicants of job openings and details such as duties and responsibilities, compensation, benefits, schedules, working conditions, career opportunities, and promotion opportunities.
- May plan, organize and oversee company events.
- Establishes, develops, and maintains constructive and cooperative working relationships with others.
- Communicates with and provides information to supervisors, coworkers, subordinates, and applicants by telephone, in written form (including e-mail), or in person.
- Develops and executes specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish all duties.
- Maintains current knowledge of HR guidelines, laws, policies, procedures, and common practices, including Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and affirmative action guidelines and laws, such as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
Other Duties
- May be required to travel occasionally and attend meetings outside of normal business hours.
- Works in cooperation with other employees.
- Conducts employment verifications.
- Attends and participates in team and company meetings and provides updates as requested.
- Assists with special projects as assigned.
- Participates in departmental and association wide informational meetings and inservices, including staff meetings, association wide forums, and seminars.
- Reviews department and association wide policies and procedures annually. Develops and maintains new policies and procedures as needed.

Abilities
- Must be able to read, write, understand, and speak English.
- Operational knowledge of equipment in the Human Resource Department (fax, printers, copy machine, phone systems, email, etc.)
- Proficiency in MS Office and Hospital Information Systems

Physical Demands
Exerts up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Physical demands are in excess of those of Sedentary work. Light work usually requires walking or standing to a significant degree. Worker is exposed to extensive computer work.
Preferred Education and Experience
- 1+ years of experience in Human Resources
