Eaton’s Electrical division is currently seeking a HR Generalist to join our team in Woodridge, IL

 

The expected annual salary range for this role is $71,000 - $105,000 a year.

The primary function of the HR Generalist is to support the Human Resources team and warehouse leadership across Operations, Facilities & Maintenance, and Quality in the deployment of HR policies, programs, and initiatives. This role plays a key part in driving employee engagement, maintaining workforce effectiveness, and supporting a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

 

The primary function of the HR Generalist will be to support the Human Resources team in the implementation and deployment of Human Resources policies, programs and initiatives. 

What you’ll do:

  • Support the site HR Manager in implementing HR policies and programs, including employment practices, compensation, employee relations, training, talent acquisition, onboarding, development, and performance management.
  • Ensure alignment with Eaton values and promote a positive, inclusive, high-performance culture.
  • Support day-to-day employee relations across Operations, Facilities & Maintenance, and Quality.
  • Coach and counsel employees and frontline leaders on employee relations matters and maintain consistent and fair resolution processes.
  • Support site compensation practices by reviewing and analyzing market data, internal equity, job evaluations, and pay adjustments.
  • Lead and support employee engagement activities, including site events, recognition programs, team building activities, and All Employee Meetings.
  • Conduct investigations and recommend/facilitate resolution.
  • Collaborate with HR Services on all transactional HR matters.
  • Maintain data integrity in all HR systems with accurate and timely data entry, including frequent audits.
  • Support Kronos timekeeping processes, including corrections, reporting, and supervisor training.
  • Assist with recruiting activities for hourly and salaried roles, including requisition processing and candidate coordination.
  • Manage onboarding, offboarding, and workforce documentation.
  • Own designated projects in alignment with HR and Operational Excellence goals.
  • Support and participate in GEMBA walks, ensuring strong HR presence on the warehouse floor.
  • Track and report High5 metrics, attendance KPIs, and HR related performance data.
  • Support deployment of the site’s Annual Operating Plan (AOP) HR deliverables.
  • Serve as an OnSolve Communication leader and Standard Work Champion supporting site communication processes and emergency communication readiness.
  • Oversee leaves of absence, Workers Compensation claims, and return to work processes.
  • Support incident management activities, including investigation, documentation, and corrective action tracking.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and HR regulatory requirements, including ADA, FMLA, EEO, Affirmative Action, and other applicable federal/state regulations.
  • Assist with internal, external, and regulatory audits related to HR, safety, or operational compliance.

Basic (Required) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of human resources generalist experience within a manufacturing/distribution environment
  • No relocation is being offered for this role. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Woodridge, IL will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area.
