Location: Bergey's Corporate Office-Souderton, PA
Shift: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm (This is not a remote position)
Position Summary:
The HR Generalist plays a vital role in supporting day‑to‑day Human Resources operations and the full employee lifecycle. This position is responsible for onboarding and offboarding, HRIS administration, compliance and recordkeeping, employee relations support, and policy administration. The HR Generalist partners closely with managers and the HR team to provide timely guidance, maintain audit‑ready documentation, support benefits and recruiting efforts, and deliver a positive, responsive, and compliant employee experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted HR partner to managers and Team Members across multiple locations, providing guidance grounded in Bergey’s values and policies
- Support recruiting initiatives and onboarding activities to attract, welcome, and retain quality Team Members
- Administer Team Member lifecycle processes including onboarding, job changes, employee records, and offboarding
- Partner with leaders on performance management, coaching, documentation, and development conversations
- Support employee relations matters with professionalism, consistency, and a solutions‑oriented approach
- Assist with training and development initiatives, including coordination of learning programs and HR compliance training
- Promote Team Member engagement, positive culture, and effective internal communication
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, policies, and Bergey’s HR procedures
- Maintain accurate and confidential HR records, reports, and systems
- Respond to Team Member inquiries related to benefits, leaves, pay practices, and HR processes
- Collaborate with payroll, benefits, and leadership teams to support day‑to‑day HR operations
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 1 year of Human Resources experience is required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or HR coursework preferred.
- Driver’s License is required with a good driving record
- Some travel is required
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Professional and kind communication skills; use respectful, positive language in all interactions verbally, written, and electronic. Demonstrates professionalism through body language, word choice, and responsiveness.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong customer service skills approach every interaction with a genuine desire to help and support others.
- UKG experience is preferred but not required
- Successful completion of pre-employment background check and drug testing
