SUMMARY

 

The Recruiter is responsible for identifying, attracting, and hiring skilled talent to support manufacturing, engineering, quality, operations, and supply chain functions within LISI Aerospace. This role partners closely with hiring managers and business leaders to ensure the organization can meet production targets, compliance requirements, and long-term workforce planning needs. The recruiter manages the full recruitment lifecycle, from intake meetings and job postings to sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer negotiation, and onboarding process.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

.

  • The recruiter develops and executes recruiting strategies for a range of positions, including machinists, assemblers, manufacturing engineers, quality inspectors, production supervisors, supply chain specialists, and other aerospace-related roles.
  • Build strong candidate pipelines through job boards, networking, referrals, trade schools, technical programs, military transition channels, and industry events.
  • Confers with management and supervisors to identify personnel needs, job specifications, job duties, qualifications, and skills required for specific job openings
  • Completes job descriptions or reviews and edits job descriptions written by others.
  • Initiates contact with possibly qualified candidates for specific job openings.
  • Review applications and interview applicants to obtain work history, education, training, job skills, and salary requirements, and to provide information about the organization and position.
  • Support employer branding and outreach initiatives
  • Ensure hiring practices comply with labor laws and company policies
  • Assist with workforce planning for plant growth, new programs, or shift expansions
  • Screens and refers candidates for additional interviews with others in the organization.
  • Assist HR Generalist tasks as needed, including onboarding coordination, employee documentation, interview scheduling, new hire follow-up, and support for HR programs and administrative processes.
  • Maintain internal job posting program and write job postings.
  • Writes and places job advertising in various job boards, social media, and newspapers.
  • Plan, coordinate, and organize participation of job fairs, including setting up displays at job fairs.
  • Maintains contacts with schools, alumni groups, minority groups, and other public organizations to find and attract qualified applicants.
  • Works with external recruiters and employment agencies to identify and recruit candidates.
  • Provides information on company facilities and job opportunities to potential applicants
      • Processes pre-employment background checks and pre-employment requirements post job offers.
      • Register and attend local Job Fairs on behalf of the company.
      • Maintains recruitment database.
      • Processes employment applications and assists in other employment activities.
      • Maintain application tracking log up to date for all job applicants via the recruitment database.
      • Examines employee files to answer inquiries and provides information to authorized persons.
      • Follow up with applicants for new hire orientation.
      • Writes and maintains job offer documentation.
      • Presents job offers
      • Conduct New Hire Orientation and onboards new employees (full cycle)
      • Responsible for complying with the rules and regulations set forth by Federal, Local, and State government, LISI Aerospace, and HSE Procedures.
      • Responsible for attending all training provided and for adhering to all HSE procedures, policies, and plans, conforming to reporting requirements and safe operating procedures at all times.
      • Required to bring any known or suspected nonconformance for all company procedures or legal requirements to management’s attention immediately.
      • Continually seeks opportunities to improve our HSE performance by establishing objectives and targets, measuring progress, and reporting our results.

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS SKILLS AND ABILITIES

 

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Human Resources, Business or a related field or 2-5 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Comfortable working in fast-paced production environments.

 

       Language Skills                                            

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

 

       Mathematical Skills                                                 

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

 

       Reasoning Ability                                                     

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

 

       Computer Skills
