HR Recruiter - Entry-Level (5534)

Status: Full-Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt | Pay: $22.00-$23.00/Hour | Schedule: Monday, Wednesday - Friday 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. ; Tuesday 7:45 a.m. - 4:15 p.m.

The Recruitment Specialist serves as a key liaison between Mercy House and prospective employees throughout the employee's life cycle: recruitment, orientation, and internal transitions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Candidate Sourcing

• Update and post job descriptions on various job boards and platforms to attract qualified candidates
• Maintain updated candidate applicant information on tracking systems and maintain accurate and up-to-date records
• Conduct phone screenings to assess candidates’ qualifications, experience, and cultural fit
• Schedule and coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers
• Conduct reference and background checks and ensure compliance with relevant employment legislation and regulations
• Participate in recruitment marketing initiatives to enhance the organization’s reputation as an employer of choice
• Attend job fairs quarterly

Team Support

• Present company policies, procedures, and culture during new hire orientation sessions
• Assist in extending job offers and the onboarding process
• Updating new hire documents as necessary

Miscellaneous

• Attend staff meetings and quarterly trainings
• Enhance job performance by applying up-to-date professional and technical knowledge gained by attending seminars and conferences and reviewing professional publications
• Take initiative; demonstrate strong decision-making and organizational skills
• Initiate best practices; develop efficiency improvements
• Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned by your supervisor
