Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems is seeking a Summer 2026 HR Talent Acquisition Intern.

About the Role
Lockheed Martin’s Talent Acquisition team is looking for a highly motivated summer intern to help us attract, assess, and secure top technical and professional talent for our Rotary and Mission Systems business. This is a “hands on” internship— you’ll be an active contributor to real recruiting projects, work side by side with seasoned recruiters and sourcers, and gain exposure to the full talent acquisition lifecycle in a mission critical industry.

What You’ll Do
Recruitment Support & Operational Excellence
• Support onboarding and recruitment actions for new hires.
• Prepare candidates for a smooth first day experience, including support related to travel, security clearances, and orientation logistics.
• Conduct resume reviews and document outcomes.
• Partner closely with talent acquisition team and hiring managers to ensure a positive candidate experience.
• Maintain clear, professional communication with candidates throughout the process, ensuring a positive experience.
• Assist in the seamless replacement of the existing applicant tracking system with a new platform, supporting the cutover and post implementation support.
Sourcing & Research
• Learn and apply Boolean search techniques to uncover passive talent.
• Build and nurture talent pipelines for critical engineering, cyber security, program management, and corporate roles.
• Perform market trend research, competitive intelligence, and talent mapping for emerging skill sets.
• Leverage generative AI tools and innovative, agile workflows to source, assess, and engage candidates, while experimenting with new collaboration methods and automation solutions.
Learning & Development
• Attend training on interview best practices, candidate assessment, and Lockheed Martin’s HR technology stack (ATS, LinkedIn Recruiter, internal LM HR portal).
• Shadow sourcers during candidate interviews and hiring manager intake meetings.
• Join intern cohort activities, networking events, and mentorship sessions with senior HR leaders.

Basic Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Communications, or a related field.
Core Skills & Attributes
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Comfortable learning new technology platforms quickly.
• Demonstrated interest in talent acquisition, recruiting, or HR.
• High degree of discretion when handling confidential information.
• Team oriented mindset with a proactive, “can do” attitude.

Desired skills

• Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter, other social media platforms, or professional networking tools.
• Familiarity with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
• Interest in HR analytics, reporting, or data driven decision making.
• Ability to easily travel to the locations provided up to a few times a month.

Ability to work remotely

Full-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $55,765 - $74,080. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
