This HR Associate position will support the HR team in key confidential and essential administrative tasks. This position will focus on supporting the HR Coordinator in recruiting and screening functions, along with new hire orientations, onboarding and paperwork.
Duties include but not limited to:
- Assist with recruiting and postings of various jobs for Company.
- Assist with screening candidates at the intial stages to include reviewing applications, resumes and scheduling interviews.
- Assist with pre-employment compliance to include reference checks, background checks, motor vehicle records and drug screening.
- Prepare and assemble HR paperwork to include regulatory documents, safety training, benefits, notifications and mailings.
- Prepare, schedule, and conduct new hire orientation and training.
- Maintain employee files and accurate employee records (i.e. new hires, current employees, terminated employees, etc.).
- Ensure all files are compliant and documentation is filed timely, accureately and according to Company procedures.
- Run and distribute HR reports and calendars to appropriate managers.
- Maintain and audit confidential employee files.
- Performs a variety of clerical duties to include photocopying, file creation, scanning, faxing, mass mailings, departmental mail, invoice coding/entering, etc.
- Will assist with other HR functions as time allows (i.e. benefits, DFWP, reporting, payroll, etc.).
- Handles communications efficiently, accurately & discreetly.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Previous Human Resources experience/recruiting experience preferred
- Familiarity with the entire recruitment lifecycle preferred
- Proficient knowledge of basic computer applications (word, excel ,PowerPoint and outlook)
- Previous experience with UKG Pro preferred
- Must have excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task in organized fashion
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, time management & organizational skills.
- Must have excellent ability to communicate to all levels of employees both written and orally.
- Must be able to report to work on time and work full shift each day (8a.m.-5p.m, Monday -Friday).
- Must be able to work OT if needed
- Must possess and be able to maintain valid drivers' license
- Must be able to pass background checks (i.e. police backgrounds, reference check)

Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record:
- Cannot have more than two (2): moving violations and/or at-fault vehicle accidents (any combination) in the past three (3) years (for speeding, violations must be under 16mph)
- Cannot have more than one (1): speeding violation of 16-29mph OR at-fault accident in the past three (3) years
- Cannot have a major violation such as: DUI/DWI, hit-and-run, reckless driving, and/or super speeder (29+mph) violation in the past five (5) years
- Position requires ability to handle sensitive and confidential informaiton
- May require overtime
- Must be able to lift boxes of files for archiving
- Local travel for job fair/recruiting may be required
