About this role

Chick-fil-A Freehold Township is seeking a mature, detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to support recruiting, payroll, compliance, and team member support. This role works closely with leadership and plays an important role in maintaining a professional and positive workplace.

Responsibilities

Recruiting & Hiring

  • Post job openings and screen applicants
  • Schedule and assist with interviews
  • Support hiring and onboarding of new Team Members
  • Manage uniform inventory and distribution

Payroll & HR Administration

  • Assist with bi-weekly payroll processing
  • Maintain accurate personnel files
  • Track Workers’ Compensation, FMLA, and NJLA documentation
  • Monitor evaluation schedules and send reminders
  • Answer team member questions regarding pay, benefits, or policies

Compliance & Team Support

  • Assist with disciplinary documentation
  • Maintain confidentiality of personnel information
  • Ensure compliance with New Jersey labor laws
  • Help foster a positive and professional workplace

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent college coursework in business, HR, or related field
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality
  • Basic HR or payroll experience is helpful but not required
  • Comfortable learning HR and scheduling systems
  • Ability to communicate in Spanish is a plus
