Summary
We are seeking to hire personnel for a Human Resources Assistant position in our Human Resources department. The primary responsibilities are to provide administrative and operational support to the Human Resources Generalist and Talent Acquisition Specialist through an employee’s introduction into the company. This full-time, in-office employment opportunity offers you experience that will advance your career, knowledge growth, and professional development.

Responsibilities
As a Human Resources Assistant, your daily duties will include but may not be limited to:

Talent Acquisition:

  • Proactive follow up with hiring managers and candidates to obtain information required to begin pre-employment.
  • Monitor pre-employment screening status to include; motor vehicle record, pre-employment drug screen and background check.
  • Maintain communication with candidates and hiring managers providing status updates, deliver notification once candidate has cleared pre-employment process.
  • Assist in preparing candidate offer letters, alerts corporate departments of required access and permissions.
  • Assist with all tasks required for successful candidate placement, including candidate sourcing, conducting phone screen, and completing reference verification.

Human Resources:

  • Partner with hiring managers to coordinate and oversee new hire onboarding, including introductions, documentation, and training, ensuring a smooth and successful onboarding experience.
  • Assist with employee benefits administration, including open enrollment, life event changes, COBRA qualifying events, and annual ACA reporting requirements.
  • Support annual wellness initiatives and employee engagement programs.
  • Coordinate employee awards and recognition programs.
  • Support HR Generalist with company uniform distribution and invoice reconcilement.
  • Provide administrative support to HR department staff as needed.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employees and managers regarding HR processes and policies.

Requirements
The primary requirements of a Human Resources Assistant involve:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a clerical setting required, experience in a Human Resources or Recruitment setting preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and quickly adapt to change.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now preferred but not required.

Salary: $20.00-$24.00 per hour. Overtime compensation for hours worked in excess of 40 in a given workweek.
