About this role
The Human Resources Assistant provides essential support to the Employee Relations Manager and plays a key role in daily HR operations. This position serves as a primary point of contact for hourly and salaried employees, staffing agencies, and potential candidates—offering guidance, information, and exceptional customer service. The role supports a wide range of administrative and HR functions to ensure smooth, efficient operations across the complex.
Schedule-Split shift: 10:00 AM–6:30 PM
-Some Saturday work required based on plant operations
-Occasional overtime as needed
Major Duties & Responsibilities-Provide outstanding customer service and accurate information to all internal and external customers
-Perform data entry and maintain employee records in systems such as Oracle HCM, UKG, and Oracle 12c
-Support daily HR administration, including documentation, recordkeeping, and employee inquiries
-Assist the Employee Relations Manager with routine tasks, follow‑ups, and special projects
-Serve as a reliable, approachable resource for employees, staffing partners, and candidates throughout the day
-High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred
-Clerical or administrative experience required
-Bilingual skills preferred but not required
-Strong written and verbal communication skills
-Excellent customer service abilities and a professional, welcoming demeanor
-Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly and effectively
-Familiarity with databases and common HR systems
-Highly detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills
-Ability to thrive in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment
-Flexibility to work some Saturdays and occasional overtime as needed
