JOB SUMMARY AND PURPOSE
As part of the HR Service Team, the HR Associate I position is a vital resource for Human Resources department, performs the full spectrum of the Employment/Onboarding of new employees. Additionally, performs a variety of human resources functions, including compensation, benefits, employee relations, compliance, and other HR processes.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supports HR Service Team: performs triage on incoming calls directing calls to appropriate HR support; performs employee onboarding tasks and assists new employee orientation
- Works in support of HR Department in general, as well as assisting the Benefits, Classification & Compensation, Compliance, and Employee Relations efforts
- Conducts employment, degree and eligibility verification of applicants and transfer/reclassification requests; maintains and tracks records of other employment compliance requirements (background checks, TB screening, licensing, credentials, et cetera)
- Other duties as may be required
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- An essential function of this position requires incumbents to report to the office.
- Assist in the onboarding process of new hires including, new hire paperwork, and organizing and conducting orientation. Conduct I-9 employment verifications for all new hires and collect relevant documentation.
- Supports HR Department, assisting Benefits, Compliance, Employee Relations and Classification/Compensation efforts as directed; may conduct licensure, credentialing and general compliance activities.
- Provide support and assistance for recruitment activities including, background checks, credentialing verifications, develops and coordinates new employee offer letters for positions within the organization
- Assist in the maintenance of all employee files and related record keeping of personnel data, I-9 records, and personnel records; conduct routine audits; Input and ensure timely transmission of new and rehire employee data, resignations and terminations within our HR system.
- May assist in developing human resources solutions by collecting and analyzing information; recommending courses of action.

MANDATED REPORTER
As service providers to the underprivileged and vulnerable in our community, all employees are considered Mandated Reporters, and must report any instance of physical or sexual abuse to proper authorities.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to pass a fingerprint clearance, background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verifications
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor degree or equivalent combination of education and experience (4 years)
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of one year of related HR work experience.
