Utility Trailer Manufacturing Company, the largest producer of refrigerated trailers, is seeking qualified applicants for this key position in our Atkins VA facility. Candidate should have worked in a Human Resource or related environment with experience in the following areas:
Essential Duties
- Manage and act as the primary point of contact for employee leave requests (FMLA, Disability, Parental Leave, ADA)
- FMLA/ADA tracking and other related reporting
- Administration of employee benefits
- Tracking Reserve Duty and completing applicable reporting
- Submitting weekly and bi-weekly payroll to corporate for processing
- Notifying supervisors of timecard errors
- Processing terminations
- Processing payroll change forms
- Maintaining I-9 and Medical Records
- Administering 60 Day/Merit Raise Reviews
- Serves as a link between employees and management by handling questions and helping to resolve work-related issues
Qualifications
- Excellent written and oral communication skills are required
- Must be proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
- Previous experience and strong understanding of FMLA and ADA
- Organized, self-directed, and comfortable managing changing priorities
- Ability to multi-task and remain calm under pressure, especially during peak periods
- Desire to work in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail with a service-oriented approach
- Willingness to accept other duties as assigned
- Must possess a high regard to confidentiality
- College degree – preferred
Hours
- 8am - 4:30pm Monday - Friday with occasional overtime as needed
