We are currently seeking an HR Coordinator for our corporate office in Houston, Texas located in the Galleria area.
Purpose:
Coordinates and processes all personnel onboarding, lifecycle, and offboarding actions as well as the organization, development, and maintenance of electronic personnel records and retention schedule. The ideal candidate has a strong support background, tenacious follow-up, and is motivated by delivering high quality results quickly. This position will provide support to the entire HR team and act as a superuser for the HRIS platform, associated vendor systems, and other business applications that impact the employee life cycle.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

- Partners with HR Generalist and hiring manager on all aspects of recruiting, pre-employment screening, and onboarding.
- Responsible for communicating with and coordinating all activities related to HR vendors related to screening, onboarding and offboarding.
- Supports HR team with processing personnel transactions including compensation and job changes and terminations; works closely with payroll function to ensure accurate completion of all transactions.
- System owner of HRIS onboarding portal and is responsible for maximizing the efficiencies of KLX’s electronic on/offboarding system by focusing on process improvement and time to hire metrics.
- Acts as primary interface with payroll, HSE and IT department to coordinate new hire start date, equipment and all payroll related data.
- Supports internal company SharePoint site, electronic personnel filing system and any confidential records related to employee life cycle.
- Assists with preparing standard HR metrics and ad hoc reports for HR team and other cross-functional needs.
- Assists Benefits Manager with benefits administration and reports as needed.
- May serve as backup to HR Generalist team for various HR management and administration support.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma/Equivalent
- 0-2 year’s of related work experience
- Communication skills: Excellent written, speaking and listening skills to share information effectively, while paying careful attention to concerns and questions from employees, management and job applicants.
- Detail-oriented: When ensuring processes are thoroughly followed and ability to multi-task while supporting multiple stakeholders.
- Interpersonal skills: For interacting with new employees while conversing and connecting with employees and management at different levels of the organization.
- Ability to maintain high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
- Strong skill set with Microsoft Office suite, especially MS Excel.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or Organizational Development or related discipline
- 0-2 year’s of related work experience
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and understand when escalation is necessary
