ROLE OVERVIEW
The HR Coordinator, Employee Relations provides crucial administrative and operational support to both Employee Relations and the People Connect Shared Services. This role serves as the primary point of contact for background check adjudication, utilizing established guidelines and independent judgment to make timely, fair, and consistent decisions. The Coordinator collaborates with ER leadership and the Legal team when cases require further review.
In addition to adjudication responsibilities, this role provides administrative support across a variety of employee relations and HR processes. This includes case documentation, scheduling, coordination, and document preparation related to ER investigations under leadership oversight, as well as supporting Managers with performance management, corrective action, and termination process guidance. The role also contributes to compliance-related activities such as onboarding tasks, I-9 and work authorization processing, HR reporting, and general inquiry management.
The HR Coordinator helps ensure the smooth operation of ER and PCT Shared Services functions by maintaining accurate records, supporting defined workflows, and providing clear, respectful communication to employees and managers.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
• Administer background check adjudications in alignment with established guidelines and compliance requirements, applying fair and consistent judgment
• Review background check results, identify non-passing outcomes, and escalate cases for additional review when appropriate
• Track background check cases to ensure timely completion, accuracy, and audit-ready documentation
• Provide administrative support for Employee Relations case management activities
• Assist with intake, documentation, and routing of HR and ER inquiries to ensure timely and supportive responses
• Support Ethics Hotline administration, including case tracking, documentation, and coordination with ER leadership
• Coordinate interviews, meetings, and documentation needs for investigations under leadership oversight
• Support onboarding and offboarding activities, including background check workflows and I-9 coordination
• Assist with termination-related procedures
• Enter, update, and maintain accurate data in HR and ER systems, ensuring confidentiality and data integrity
• Monitor case queues and service level timelines, elevating risks or delays as appropriate
• Support updates to HR and ER forms, templates, and knowledge resources to maintain clarity and consistency
• Independently execute defined scope tasks, projects, and process improvements that enhance efficiency and accuracy across ER and People Connect workflows
• Identify recurring issues or operational inefficiencies and propose thoughtful, practical solutions for review and implementation
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM:
• Prior experience in an HR coordinator, administrative, or shared services role preferred
• Experience supporting background check processes or regulated workflows strongly preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow defined procedures consistently
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to manage task-based or defined-scope projects independently with guidance as needed
• Comfort working in HR systems and managing high-volume transactional work
• Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience

• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time for meetings, investigations, and other related activities.
