About this role
As Human Resources Coordinator at PetIQ you will support both corporate and service hires by managing the background check and employment verification process to ensure a smooth, compliant, and positive hiring experience. This role partners closely with corporate leaders and field/service managers to onboard all new employees, coordinating pre-employment requirements and new hire documentation in alignment with PetIQ’s policies and standards. Responsibilities include HRIS data entry for corporate and service team members, processing new hires, status changes, and terminations, and maintaining accurate employee records in both electronic and paper formats. The HR Coordinator prepares basic reports, provides general administrative support to the HR department, and fields routine HR questions from employees across PetIQ’s corporate and service teams. This position also assists with special projects and performs other duties as assigned to support overall HR operations and PetIQ’s mission.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for managing background check and employment verification process.
- Works with managers to onboard all new employees.
- HRIS data entry including new hires, status changes and terminations
- Employee records maintenance both online and on paper
- Basic report writing and reporting
- General administration duties supporting the HR and department
- Fields basic Human Resources questions from employees
- Assists with special projects
- Other job duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in an administrative role
- Minimum of 1yr of HR administrative experience, preferably
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Proficient
- Outlook/Gmail Proficient
- Experience with database software (ADP, WorkForceNow or Lyric)
Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Associate’s Degree with emphasis in human resources management preferred
- SHRM-CP or PHR preferred but not required
Preferred Qualifications:
- ADP WorkforceNow/Lyric system and onboarding experience highly preferred
- HRIS Software
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
