Human Resources Coordinator

*This role requires working in office 1-2 days per week at our Kent, Washington location.

 

About the Role

We’re looking for a Human Resources Coordinator to support the day-to-day operations of our HR team and help create a positive employee experience across the organization.

In this role, you’ll serve as a central point of contact for employee HR questions and support, while also helping maintain HR systems, employee records, and administrative processes. You’ll work closely with the HR team to ensure our people processes run smoothly and efficiently.

What You’ll Do

Employee Support & Engagement

  • Serve as the first point of contact for general HR inquiries, including phone calls, shared inboxes, voicemails, and mail.
  • Provide guidance to employees on topics such as benefits, HR systems (Dayforce), company policies, leave programs, and general HR processes.
  • Escalate complex or sensitive issues to the appropriate HR team member.
  • Ensure completion of new hire paperwork and system access.
  • Manage incoming department mail, including employment verifications and unemployment claim requests.
  • Identify trends in employee questions and partner with HR leadership to help improve processes.
  • Maintain and update employee information across HR systems and platforms (such as Aduro and TinyPulse).
  • Support new hire announcements and notifications.
  • Administer the employee service award program, including ordering awards and auditing employee records for accuracy.
  • Update HR department information on SharePoint.
  • Additional responsibilities as directed by leadership.

 

HR Administration

  • Maintain employee records and process HR transactions in the HRIS, including promotions, transfers, and status changes.
  • Support I-9 auditing and compliance activities.
  • Assist with employment verification requests.
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR department as needed.

 

Projects & Process Improvement

  • Assist with HR initiatives and department projects.
  • Support employee engagement activities and programs.
  • Help identify opportunities to improve HR workflows and processes.

 

What You Bring

Required

  • 1+ years of HR experience or strong background in similar administrative roles
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Comfortable handling confidential information
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar tools
  • Self-starter with a service-oriented mindset

Preferred

  • Experience working with HRIS or applicant tracking systems is strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred

 

Physical Requirements  

  • Ability to remain seated for extended periods (up to 8 hours/day)
  • Ability to use a keyboard and mouse repetitively
  • Visual acuity sufficient to read a computer screen for extended periods
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 15 lbs occasionally
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in written form
  • Ability to move throughout the office (walking, standing, bending) occasionally

  • Reliable high-speed internet connection
  • Ability to maintain a secure, dedicated workspace free from distractions during work hours
  • Proficiency with video conferencing tools
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines in an autonomous environment
  • Must be available during core business hours in Pacific Time Zone.
  • Ability to attend virtual meetings and respond to communication in a timely manner
  • Must reside in Idaho, Oregon or Washington while employed by Therapeutic Associates Physical Therapy

The compensation for this role is $22-$26 / hour depending on HR experience as it pertains to this role.
