Position Title: Human Resources- Employee Assistance Program, Emerging Talent Intern
Hourly Rate: $19.00 (Undergraduate)
All internship positions are onsite and require regular, in-person attendance at the designated work location.
OVERVIEW OF DEPARTMENT:
The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a confidential workplace resource within Human Resources that supports employees’ mental health, emotional well-being, and work-life balance. The team partners with internal stakeholders and external providers to deliver counseling resources, crisis support, wellness programming, and preventative initiatives that foster a healthy, productive workforce. The EAP Intern will assist in coordinating wellness initiatives, organizing program resources, and supporting employee outreach efforts. This role provides hands-on experience in employee well-being strategies and HR program operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support day-to-day administrative tasks for the EAP team
- Coordinate scheduling and logistics for wellness events and training sessions
- Assist in creating internal communications and promotional materials
- Conduct research on mental health trends, workplace well-being, and EAP best practices
- Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive information and documentation
- Track program participation and compile reports on engagement metrics
- Collaborate with HR partners to integrate EAP offerings into broader HR initiatives
- Provide general support for employee inquiries and resource navigation
- Help evaluate program effectiveness through surveys and feedback analysis
- Other duties as assigned
PROJECTS:
- Develop and update a centralized digital library of EAP and wellness resources for employees
- Assist in planning and executing mental health awareness campaigns and events (e.g., workshops, webinars)
- Analyze employee engagement data and prepare insights to improve EAP utilization
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is a must.
- The candidate should possess organizational, analytical and communication skills.
- The candidate should be able to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
- The candidate should have a keen eye for detail and be able to work independently while being an active team player.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
- Matriculated in an undergraduate program in good standing with at least 2.5 GPA.
- Major(s) Preferred: Human Resources, Psychology, Industrial Psychology, or related.
