About this role

Summary

The HR Generalist serves as a key administrator for core human resources functions and workforce management activities. This role supports recruiting, employee relations, onboarding and offboarding, leave administration, employee engagement, performance management, and HR systems and records management. The HR Generalist partners with leaders and employees to ensure HR processes are executed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies and applicable employment laws.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Serves as a primary point of contact for employee and manager inquiries regarding human resources policies, procedures, and programs.
  2. Coordinates and administers employee onboarding and offboarding activities, including new hire orientation and separation processes.
  3. Supports the full-cycle recruitment process, including posting positions, coordinating interviews, communicating with candidates, and assisting hiring managers.
  4. Processes employee status changes including promotions, transfers, department changes, manager changes, compensation changes, and terminations within the HRIS.
  5. Maintains accurate and confidential employee records and personnel files in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  6. Assists with employee relations matters by conducting fact-finding, documenting concerns, providing guidance, and escalating issues as appropriate.
  7. Administers and tracks leaves of absence, attendance matters, and related documentation while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and company policies.
  8. Assists with the administration of workers' compensation claims, unemployment claims, and reasonable accommodation requests.
  9. Supports the performance management process, including coaching managers on employee performance, corrective action, and documentation.
  10. Assists with employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, wellness activities, and company events.
  11. Maintains data integrity within HR systems by reviewing, auditing, and correcting employee information as needed.
  12. Prepares reports and assists with HR audits to ensure compliance with federal, state, and company requirements.
  13. Assists in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of HR policies, procedures, and programs.
  14. Supports compliance with labor laws, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  15. Handles confidential employee and company information in an ethical and professional manner.
  16. Collaborates with operational leaders to support workforce planning and day-to-day human resources needs.
  17. Performs duties in an honest and ethical manner.
  18. Performs other duties as assigned.

 Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  2. Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible human resources experience required.
  3. Experience in employee relations, recruiting, leave administration, and HR operations required.
  4. Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office programs required.
  5. Healthcare industry experience preferred.
  6. PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar professional certification preferred.
