About this role
This position primarily supports Performance Coatings Group, Research & Development projects, and programs. Primary duties would include delivering new hire orientation at Morikis Global Technology Center, coordinating and supporting engagement activities for R&D intern program, coordinating R&D awards and partnering with Global Supply Chain HR to finalize award program, supporting roll out of new competencies within R&D and responding to functional needs to ensure success.
Additional Information:
- This position will have 5% travel
- This role is not remote/hybrid. This role will report to Sherwin-Williams Brecksville Morikis Global Technology Center located at 6745 Miller Rd., Brecksville, OH 44141.

Responsibilities
- Ensure data integrity of all Human Resource systems (HR Cloud, Kronos, etc.)
- Assist with Affirmative Action quarterly plans, annual compensation analysis and good faith efforts as needed
- Administrative support and duties for Senior VP R&D which includes booking meetings, expense reports and other related tasks as requested
- Promote and maintain positive employee relations in a safe and productive work environment
- Support all PCG Employee Relations with tracking cases, creating resources, and responding to HR Business Partners on cases
- Communicate accurately and appropriately with other employees and vendors in a timely manner
- Support investigations or Employee Relations issues as needed
- Coordinate the R&D early talent intern/co-op program and work closely with PCG Division HRBPs and Recruitment and coordinate with GSC HR to align efforts where applicable
- Assist in developing and executing onboarding plans and activities
- Support employee events (recognition, fundraisers, volunteer programs, etc.) as needed
- Provide support to management throughout employee engagement processes (i.e., engagement survey, focus groups, etc.)
- Lead efforts for R&D Awards including collecting information, ordering awards, connecting with the business on nominations, etc.
- Support Kids chemistry day support
- Support R&D competency refresh workshops
- Support events for MGTC show and tell stories
- Partner with HR Professionals to execute Company Initiatives
- Support stakeholders within PCG Group R&D to achieve goals.
- Partner with Learning & Development in implementing and managing the early career programs and other various projects and programs related to talent development
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
- Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree or higher
- Must have at least one (1) year of experience using Microsoft Office products (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and/or Outlook)
- Must be knowledgeable in computer systems (Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, and Power Point)
Must have skills in database management and record keeping
Must have experience creating onboarding programs and/or be willing to create onboarding programs
Preferred Qualifications:
- Have experience in Human Resources
- Have proficiency with HR systems
- Have knowledge and application of current HR trends, best practices, and compliance issues
