Job Description:

 

Human Resources (HR) Intern – Summer Internship

 

Location: Morristown, NJ (Onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)

 

Duration: Summer 2026 (8-12 weeks, flexible based on academic calendar)

 

Part time: 22.5 Hours per week

 

 

Position Summary:

 

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Intern to join our Commercial & Executive (C&E) Human Resources team for the summer. Reporting directly to the HR Business Partner, The HR Intern will provide administrative support to the HR Business Partner and divisional HR Leader (SVP). This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in various HR functions, including talent acquisition, onboarding/off boarding, employee relations, performance management, and HR administration.

 

What you will do:

  • Shadow on various departmental processes including exit interviews, interviews, employee relations discussions and other areas.
  • Assist with the administration of the mid-year performance evaluations process.
  • Audit employee office locations and hybrid work agreements and complete any necessary adjustments.
  • Assist with job titling standardization project.
  • Draft internal job change letters for promotions, salary adjustments, & internal transfers.
  • Collaborate with HRBP with monthly headcount reporting and other HR metrics.
  • Other duties/projects as assigned.

What YOU will bring to C&F:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in pursuing a career in Human Resources.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and integrity.
  • Intermediate proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Crum & Forster is committed to ensuring a workplace free from discriminatory pay disparities and complying with applicable pay equity laws.  Salary ranges are available for all positions at this location, taking into account roles with a comparable level of responsibility and impact in the relevant labor market and these salary ranges are regularly reviewed and adjusted in accordance with prevailing market conditions. The annualized base pay for the advertised position, located in the specified area, ranges from a minimum of $18/hr to a maximum of $21/hr. The actual compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to the market pay for the jobs at each level, the responsibilities and skills required for each job, and the employee’s contribution (performance) in that role. To be considered within market range, a salary is at or above the minimum of the range. You may also have the opportunity to participate in discretionary equity (stock) based compensation and/or performance-based variable pay programs.
