Job Summary (Basic Functions): We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist I to join the HR team in our corporate office in Atlanta, GA. Reporting to the HR Team Leader, this role provides day-to-day operational HR support across the employee lifecycle including recruiting coordination, onboarding, employee relations support, benefits administration, and compliance activities. The HR Generalist I serves as a trusted resource for employees and managers by providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, and company practices while supporting consistent application of employment laws. This is a hands-on, individual contributor role, ideal for an early-career HR professional seeking broad exposure to core HR functions while developing practical HR expertise. The ideal candidate brings foundational HR experience, strong attention to detail, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic corporate environment. What You’ll Be Doing
Essential Functions (include but are not limited to):
- Execute and track employee onboarding and offboarding activities, including document collection, system updates, and coordination with internal stakeholders
- Maintain and regularly audit employee records in HRIS (ADP Workforce Now) to ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with record-retention requirements
- Support HR documentation processes, including preparation of employe letters, policy acknowledgements, correction action records, and personnel file updates
- Coordinate logistics for recruiting activities such as interview scheduling, candidate communications, and interview materials
- Process and monitor benefits transactions, including new enrollments, qualifying life even changes, and benefits documentation
- Track completion of required training, compliance certifications, and onboarding requirements
- Assist with preparation of HR metrics, reports, and data requests for audits, leadership reviews, and compliance needs
- Respond to routine HR inquiries by providing accurate information or escalating issues appropriately
- Support implementation of HR programs, policy updates, and internal communications
- Perform administrative and project-based tasks to support overall HR department operations.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: What We’re Looking For
Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of experience in HR Resources, HR operations, or generalist role
- Exposure to multiple HR functional areas such as onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, or recruiting coordination
- Working knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and employment best practices
- Experience supporting employees and managers in a U.S. corporate environment preferred
- Ability to learn and navigate HRIS and talent management systems (e.g. ADP Workforce Now, SuccessFactors)
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain confidential employee records
- Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills are required.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Advanced Microsoft suite – in particular, Excel, spreadsheet and power point skills required
