About this role

Position Summary: The Human Resources Intern supports the HR team within ALIGN. This role provides support in a highly regulated, safety-focused, and quality-driven setting. This is a hands-on, high-impact internship for someone who is passionate about Human Resources and energized by data-driven decision making. The HR Intern will work closely with senior HR leadership and gain meaningful exposure to how HR strategy, analytics, compliance, and employer branding come together in a real business environment.

If you love turning data into insights, telling a compelling story with numbers, and want to see how HR influences the organization at a strategic level, this role will give you both visibility and responsibility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

HR Analytics & Reporting

         Build, maintain, and enhance HR reports and dashboards related to headcount, turnover, recruiting, training, and benefits

         Analyze HR data and translate findings into clear, actionable insights for HR leadership

         Use advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, data validation) to organize and analyze large datasets

         Support data storytelling by helping present trends, risks, and opportunities in a clear and compelling way

Employer Branding & HR Communications

         Assist with employer branding initiatives, including content creation for LinkedIn and other social media platforms

         Help highlight company culture, employee stories, and talent initiatives through digital channels

         Support internal HR communications and presentations as needed

HR Operations & Compliance

         Assist with employee documentation, benefits administration support, and training compliance tracking

         Maintain accurate HR records in accordance with document retention requirements

         Support audits related to HR policies, benefits, training, and regulatory compliance

         Help ensure data accuracy and completeness across HR systems

General HR Support

         Partner with HR team members on special projects and process improvements

         Provide administrative and analytical support across talent, total rewards, and learning initiatives

         Gain exposure to senior HR leaders and participate in meetings where appropriate

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Experience and Education:
    • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, Industrial Relations, or related fields
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, V-look ups) is required
    • Experience with HRIS, particularly UKG/Ultipro, is preferred.
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
    • Familiarity with manufacturing environments and/or shop floor operations is highly preferred
    • Understanding of government-regulated industries (Aerospace, Defense, ITAR, or DoD contracts) is a plus
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Long periods of screen time
    • Extended periods of sitting
