About this role

Summary:                                                                                                         

Central States is seeking a motivated HR Intern to support various Human Resources functions, focusing on improving the new hire experience, talent acquisition process, and employer branding. This internship provides hands-on exposure to core HR responsibilities, recruitment processes, and HR systems while allowing interns to work on strategic projects aligned with the company’s 2025 Roadmap.

 

Core Functions:

 

Process Mapping & Analysis

  • Map recruiting and onboarding workflows
  • Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies

Talent Acquisition Support

  • Review job postings and application workflows
  • Evaluate candidate experience touchpoints

Employer Branding

  • Assess social media presence and employer brand messaging
  • Recommend improvements to enhance talent attraction

Project Support

  • Support HR Directors with cross-functional initiatives

Education & Experience:                                                                                   

 

Minimum Required: 

  • Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Sociology.
  • Education Level: Juniors & Seniors with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
  • High school diploma or equivalent

 

Preferred Experience:

Professionalism: Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to maintain confidentiality.

 

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

Work is performed in an office environment. This role will routinely utilize standard office equipment to perform the core functions listed in this job description. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies as well as communicate verbally and electronically. The work is primarily sedentary and requires extensive reading to perform the core functions listed in this job description. While performing the core function of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, and stand.
