About this role
Position Summary
Provides coordination and supports benefit administration policies and practices. Supports various benefit-related data management systems, and coordinates benefit programs and initiatives. Helps ensure the company's benefit offering plans are compliant and competitive in the market to attract and retain top talent. Focuses on maintaining a positive relationship with the business and other HR team members and contributes to G&J Pepsi as being the premier Employer of Choice.
Essential Functions
- Supports and coordinates annual Open Enrollment initiatives, communications and activities, as well as integration of data across systems and performing necessary audits.
- Ensures all benefit plans are administered correctly and efficiently, while adhering to regulatory, and corporate deadlines; surveys industry and/or community to determine company's competitive position in employee benefits.
- Prepares written employee communications (e.g. announcement materials, booklets and other media for communicating plan changes to employees), assists with planning and conducting employee communication meetings and presentations; maintains benefit information on corporate website.
- Works with Benefits and Wellness Teams to administer and analyze wellness programs and their impact on employee health habits and risk profiles.
- Works with Total Rewards team to ensure the efficient integration of benefits processes and that all pertinent benefits data is stored and maintained in an HRIS database according to established company standards.
- Maintains confidentiality company information, insurance and information (e.g. wage information, discipline, health information) and other sensitive and confidential information.
- Works assigned schedule, exhibits regular and predictable attendance and works outside of the normal schedule as required to meet workload demands; Performs other related duties as required.
Education Level
Minimum – 2 years College
Experience
Years of Experience – 0-6 months of Human Resources/Benefits experience
Computer Skills
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including PowerPoint
Additional Requirements
Knowledge of: Microsoft Office Suite including Access and pivot tables; Human Resources policies, practices, laws and regulations (e.g. FMLA, DOT). Skill in: internal and external customer service. Ability to: work quickly, efficiently and independently; multi-task; prioritize; be detail oriented; meet deadlines in a pressured situation; communicate effectively with other employees and develop good working relationships; listen; have empathy for other employees; adapt to change; problem solve; operate a computer, copier, printer, fax machine; read and write; maintain composure in stressful or difficult situations; create, develop and deliver presentations to other employees.
