Overview:
With close supervision and mentorship, supports the Human Resources team in the execution of employee documentation, onboarding and offboarding activities, compliance-related processes, and day-to-day HR tasks to help contribute to a positive employee experience. Eager to learn, innovate, and willing to contribute to the team.Responsibilities:
- Supports professional and positive working relationships with internal team members through responsive communication
- Supports the Human Resources and Benefits team through entry-level tasks
- Assists with HR audits with guidance from the HR team (e.g., HR intranet pages, employee records, employee licenses, certifications, and job descriptions)
- Assists with onboarding activities, such as helping to coordinate I-9 processing, working alongside the HR team and HR Touchpoints across offices
- Helps monitor HR email inbox inquiries, escalating questions to the appropriate team member as needed
- Assists the Benefits team with administration support and coordination of onsite HR events
- Assists with employee documentation in the HRIS (Workday)
- Assists with organizing and maintaining visa and immigration-related filing systems
- Assists with sorting and distributing HR mail
- May support new hire orientation activities
- Participates and contributes in various HR meetings
- Performs additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Currently earning a professional degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or relevant degree at an accredited school
- Typically 0-2 years of intern experience
- Available to be in the Dallas office at least 5 days a week
- Familiarity of HRIS systems such as Workday preferred
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite preferred
- Basic knowledge of human resources principles, including HR policies, procedures, and employment laws preferred
- Ability to hold sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
- Ability to work in team environment
- Ability to effectively meet deadlines
