Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Intern to join the Audio Video Division in Minnetonka, MN. the Human Resources Intern will support day-to-day HR activities while gaining hands-on experience across recruiting, HR systems, and administrative functions. This entry-level role is ideal for someone interested in starting a career in Human Resources and learning the fundamentals in a professional, supportive environment.
What Will You Do?
- Assist with recruiting tasks such as posting jobs, reviewing resumes, and scheduling interviews
- Support onboarding activities and help prepare new hire paperwork
- Enter and maintain employee and candidate information in HR systems
- Assist with basic audits of employee files and HR records
- Help update HR documents, forms, and internal trackers
- Respond to routine employee questions and escalate as needed
- Support general HR projects and administrative tasks
Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
- Possess a strong work ethic focusing on providing exceptional customer service
- Strong problem-solving skills and resourcefulness with ability to work independently, demonstrate flexible and efficient time management and to appropriately prioritize workload
- Ability to proactively seek out answers and gather information from various sources within the organization
- Must be reliable with demonstrated history of good attendance
- Attention to detail, commitment to accuracy and follow-through to meet deadlines, despite frequent interruptions
- Highly proficient in the use of personal computers, internet, videoconferencing (such as Microsoft Teams or Google Meet) and Microsoft Office suite of software including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook (or related e-mail system); must have experience manipulating data in Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to multi-task and manage several projects through completion at one time
- Ability to operate/work in a high growth, & corporate environment
- Ability to handle and keep confidential information and to use discretion
- Ability to handle confidential information responsibly
- Ability to work full-time (36-40 hours per week)
