Report To: Senior HR Talent & Engagement Manager
With the goal of enhancing lives, fulfilling dreams, and building communities this position supports the Human Resources team at Numerica Credit Union. This role will involve performing a variety of administrative tasks, updating employee records, supporting the employee lifecycle and participating in company events. This internship will work in a dynamic environment that values people, growth and development.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - Collaborate with the Human Resources team to support the recruitment process, ensuring we maintain transparent, empathetic communication with all applicants.
- Support New Employee Onboarding, processing new hire paperwork, and updating employee records.
- Gain hands-on experience with our HRIS platforms to maintain data integrity and support audit trail documentation.
- Assist with personnel administration, record keeping, and employment applications.
- Assist with HR projects and organizational events ensuring deliverables are completed on time.
- In partnership with Marketing, create employer branding through email, and posts on social networks/forums/company websites.
- Support HR team members and employees on Human Resources related matters.
- Maintains knowledge and adheres to all BSA regulations and compliance standards on internal and external policies.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position has no formal, direct supervisory responsibilities although it will work with leaders and peers in the organization to drive results.
PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:
Contributes to the organization's mission statement and goals by providing the highest quality of service, treating each person professionally - with warmth, courtesy, and respect, and making a personal effort to make members feel they belong and are important to the credit union.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a Human Resources program.
Preferred Qualification:
Currently pursuing a degree in Central to Eastern WA or ID state where Numerica Credit Union is currently chartered.
SKILLS and ABILITIES:
- A people first mindset regarding the candidate and employee experience.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Comfortable with technology and eager to learn HR systems and tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Able to work during regular business hours; Monday to Friday, 8-5 p.m.
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
