About this role

This is a hybrid role which requires two days per week in-office.

 

How Do Summer Internships Work?

Interns start mid-May and work until early August and work full-time (40 hours per week). TLC provides flexible schedule options with various start times. Interns have the benefit of TLC’s hybrid schedule where they can work up to 3 days from home. There are opportunities for Interns to continue after the summer on a part-time basis dependent upon performance and school schedule.

 

Responsibilities:

The Human Resources (HR) Intern will support the Learning and Development team by posting upcoming and recorded trainings, tracking attendance, coordinating catering and accommodations, and verifying employee credentials. They will also support the Talent Acquisition team by updating job posting templates, offer letter templates, and position descriptions. The Intern's administrative responsibilities will include scheduling meetings, maintaining inventory, data entry, and ad hoc reporting. The Human Resources Intern will be provided on-the-job training and mentorship.

 

Qualifications: 

  • Currently pursuing an accredited bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, Industrial and Organizational Psychology, or another related field

  • Ability to work full time (40 hours per week) from May through August 2026

  • Computer software knowledge or ability to learn (Microsoft Excel and Outlook experience preferred)

  • Good oral and written communication skills to communicate professionally with staff

  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Strong organizational skills 
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail 

  • Prior human resources internship experience preferred
