Summary
The Washington office of Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP is looking to hire a Human Resources Intern to be a part of our Talent Management team based in the Washington Office. Willkie is an elite international law firm of approximately 1,300 lawyers located in 16 offices in six countries.
The Human Resources Intern will be placed in the Human Resources and Benefits department closely supporting Allison Gouker, Director of Compliance and Staff Development. The ideal candidate will be intellectually curious and have the ability to adapt to changing priorities, and maintain confidential information at all times. Additionally, candidates will have strong communication, proactive, attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for candidates available to work at least three to four days during the week between the standards business hours of 9:00 am - 5:30 pm for a year-long internship.

Responsibilities
- Support with several routine administrative tasks such as but not limited to:
- Type and assemble correspondences and other formal documents
- Schedule appointments for team meetings, trainings or Firm events
- Develop and maintain organized filing systems
- Create audits and enter data into computer files or database system
- Work on specific projects related to Compliance and Employment Policies.
- Provide exceptional administrative support to attorneys and staff while maintaining communication with attorneys, staff and manager
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Must be in the process of completing an associates, undergraduate degree or high school degree with a strong GPA
- Preferred concentration and/or interest in Human Resources, Compliance or Learning & Development
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to have strong organizational and time management while maintaining a strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to build interpersonal relationships
- Previous office experience a plus
ADA Requirements
- Ability to sit at a desk most of the working day and walk short distances
- Needs manual dexterity, speed and accuracy in handling office equipment
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately in an atmosphere of frequent interruption
- Ability to work in close proximity to other individuals
- Ability to carry light objects, e.g., files, small objects and supplies a short distance
- Must be able to lift, carry and move objects up to 15lbs

Pay Range
USD $20.00 - USD $22.00 /Yr.Pay Range Statement
This position is a part-time hourly role and benefits eligibility will be more limited. Candidates should direct questions about benefits to the hiring manager for clarification as needed.
