Summer Human Resources Intern

Location: Providence, RI
Duration: Summer (10–12 weeks)
Schedule: Full-time | Hybrid – In office on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday

About the Internship

This is not a typical HR internship. Join AAA Northeast for a hands-on, rotational experience where you’ll learn how Human Resources supports a growing organization with multiple lines of business—all within an employee‑centered, service‑driven culture. You’ll work alongside HR professionals and contribute to real projects that support employees and the business.

What You’ll Do

You’ll rotate through several HR areas (about 2–3 weeks each), with exposure that may include:

  • Employee Experience & Internal Communications
  • Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
  • HR Business Partnering & Employee Relations
  • Total Rewards (Compensation & Benefits)
  • Employee Health & Safety
  • Training, Learning & Development

What We’re Looking For

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in HR, Business, Communications, Psychology, Organizational Development, or a related field
  • Available full-time for the summer; Work in office Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Professional, detail-oriented, and comfortable handling confidential information
