What you'll be doing
The HR Operations Specialist is a key member of the HR team, responsible for driving process excellence in onboarding, employee relations, and HR system administration for our Western Region Markets. This role allows you to make a real difference in the employee experience by ensuring smooth, efficient, and accurate HR operations for our field and office based workforce. You will also support onboarding and HR processes in other regions as needed.
You will be responsible for...
- Oversee employee relations for our Western Region Markets, partnering with employees and managers to ensure positive outcomes.
- Serve as the onboarding specialist for the Western Region, administering new hire documents, trainings, and system setup in Paycom.
- Support HR onboarding and system processes across other regions to ensure consistency and efficiency.
- Administer HR documents, process employee changes (terminations, pay rate updates, status changes), and maintain accurate employee records in Paycom.
- Partner with the HR Manager and Safety Team to ensure Field Staff trainings in the LMS are administered efficiently and documentation is up-to-date.
- Drive improvements in HR processes, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and a positive experience for employees.
- Handle sensitive information with the utmost discretion and professionalism.
- Lead, support, and contribute to special projects as needed, helping to drive improvements, streamline processes, and support departmental or company-wide initiatives.
What skills & experience you'll bring to us
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
- Experience in construction or other field-heavy industries is preferred.
- Comfortable working with a primarily field-based workforce.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly preferred.
- Experience with Paycom or other HRIS systems is a plus.
- Process-oriented mindset with the ability to identify improvements and make an impact.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
