Position Summary:

The Human Resource Coordinator provides administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including record-keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entry. Perform responsibilities in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures. This position reports directly to the Human Resources Manager.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for practicing, supporting, and promoting North Fork Mono Casino & Resort's culture and always demonstrating exemplary Service Standards.
  • Ensure all internal and external guests entering Human Resources are greeted in a professional manner.
  • Responsible for answering phones in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Performs guest service functions by answering Team Member requests and questions via phone or in-person.
  • Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files.
  • Performs data entry including but not limited to new hire information, transfers, dual rates, etc.
  • Assists or prepares correspondence, schedules meetings and interviews, and performs other projects as requested by HR management.
  • Make photocopies; mail, scan and email documents; and perform other clerical functions.
  • Files documents into appropriate Team Member files.
  • Processes mail.
  • May be required to record and transcribe meeting notes upon request.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Understanding of human resource principles, practices and procedures.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Note taking skills a plus.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of human resource experience preferred; casino/gaming experience preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Commission.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Physical Requirements:
  • All work will be performed on site in Madera, CA.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
  • Manual dexterity to operate job related equipment.

Work Conditions:

Team Members will be in constant contact with fellow Team Members and Guests. Work includes the maintenance and care of assigned work area. Work is typically performed in an office environment. However, work may be in an area which may be unusually hot, cold, noisy, and may contain secondhand smoke. Work may be performed in a confined area. Work may be scheduled at various hours, including working overtime, and during evening, weekends, and holidays. Work may entail trained chemical usage. Work is in a high volume, fast paced environment with frequent interruptions.
