- Monitor compliance with federal and state employment requirements (e.g., I-9 verification and E-Verify as applicable).
- Assists with employment process for the Dual Language Immersion program (e.g., posting jobs, processing and coordinating Visa applications) for the purpose of meeting district staffing requirements while complying with established guidelines.
- Creates and maintains a wide variety of paper and/or electronic employment files, records, correspondence, and other materials (e.g., filing & scanning records, updating pay records such as step increases and lane changes) for the purpose of ensuring the accuracy of employees' compensation, maintaining eligibility for position, and complying with mandated requirements.
- Works with third-party companies, verifying unemployment information, processes documentation, and reports necessary for work status.
- Tracks background check information from BCI records by pulling daily reports for status, then reports findings to the appropriate parties to ensure compliance with district employment policies.
- Maintains strict confidentiality regarding employee records and other documentation.
- Works directly with the human resource director, coordinating travel arrangements, as needed.
- Maintains an inventory of items, including ordering office and recruitment materials for the purpose of coordinating usage, and documenting and/or providing reliable information.
- Performs record keeping and clerical functions (e.g., filing, scheduling, employment verifications, copying, etc.) for the purpose of supporting department staff.
- Prepares a variety of reports and related documents (e.g., applications for transfer, letters of intent, certificated reports, leave of absence forms, recruitment packages, funding data, retiree info, etc.) for the purpose of providing documentation and information.
- Analyzes, summarizes, and/or reviews data; reports findings, interprets results and/or makes recommendations.
- Process documents and materials (e.g., applications, changes in employment status, payroll changes, etc.) for the purpose of disseminating information to appropriate parties.
- Assist with benefits open enrollment.
- Replies in a timely manner to phone, written, and in-person requests for information.
- Participates in meetings, workshops, and seminars for the purpose of providing and/or gathering information required to perform functions.
- Maintains predictable and reliable attendance.
- Maintains positive people skills, demonstrating professionalism, sensitivity, and tact.
- Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.

Position Purpose
Under the direct supervision of the Director of Human Resources, to provide a wide variety of complex and confidential administrative and secretarial support, communicating information to school district employees and others as required, and to assist in ensuring compliance of department/program activities with legal, administrative, and District policy requirements.
