A successful Human Resources Specialist at our Company will have general knowledge in all aspects of Human Resources and be willing to specialize in the area of DOT compliance. In addition, they will provide employee policy and procedure guidance to employees and management while staying up to date on DOT compliance for each location the Company has. At a minimum, the position requires a good working knowledge of general office functions; proficient in the use of word and spreadsheet software with emphasis on Microsoft Office and Google products; ability to use a computer and other office related equipment; ability to read, understand, interpret, input, and analyze data.

What you’ll do

  • Manage the collection of DOT compliance documents for our Company drivers.  
  • Read, interpret, input, and analyze data in support of an assigned department/project.
  • Handle PII with care.
  • Update Master Spreadsheets and Trackers along with vendor platforms.
  • Participate in the implementation and maintenance of processes or procedures.
  • Communicate via Phone, email, chat or other means in a professional manner with employees and managers on what is needed to be compliant.  
  • Manage the Employee Headway Safety Store roster and access.  Communicate with Vendor on employee access or concerns.
  • Additional Duties as assigned.

What you’ll need

  • To be 18 years of age or older
  • Authorization to work in the United States for this company
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or 2 years of related work experience.
  • Knowledge of HRIS/ SAP systems strongly recommended.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS office, Excel, Google docs.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, background, and motor vehicle record check.
  • Demonstrates a strong capacity to quickly adapt by learning new skills and unlearning outdated ones.
