The Staffing and Training Specialist will work closely with our distribution leaders to support recruiting program development and execution plus our training program development and execution including leadership training, supervisory training and frontline training all in support of Pet Supplies Plus' vision to be America's favorite neighborhood pet store.

Primary Responsibilities:

Recruiting & Staffing

 

  • Lead recruiting functions and processes, and ATS administration.

  • Lead hiring efforts for both front-line hourly team members and managers. Partner with leadership team to develop recruiting strategy and plan to maintain a pipeline of candidates and reduce turnover.


Talent Development & Training

 

  • Conduct training needs assessments and benchmarking to identify the best training strategy for the Pet Supplies Plus distribution team.
  • Facilitate both leadership training and functional skills training designed to build the capability of the team
  • Provide input on employee development and performance management programs to support company growth, culture and vision.
  • Provide coaching to leaders on effective performance reviews and management.
  • Enable a culture where individuals are accountable for their results and take pride in their individual and collectives successes.
