Are you considering a career within human resources? Are you looking for an opportunity to obtain real world HR experience?  If so, consider applying to our Human Resources Summer Associate Internship with the UPMC Insurance Services Division!

This Human Resources Summer Associate Internship is an 11-week, paid internship that starts on Monday, June 1st. During your internship, you'll have the opportunity to support a variety of projects that focus on employee relations, talent acquisition, and our Pathways to Work program. You'll receive mentorship, enhance your skills with hands-on real-world experiences, and have a little bit of fun too!

While in the internship, you’ll work full-time hours, Monday through Friday.  You’ll experience a hybrid work environment with a minimum of three days in the office per week. Apply online today for a chance to spend your summer with us!  

Responsibilities: 

  • Represent UPMC internally and externally
  • Participate in networking, service and social activities
  • Present to senior leadership
  • Complete specific tasks and projects that relate to employee relations, talent acquisition and Pathways to Work

  • Current Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Health Care Administration, or a related field is preferred
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred
  • Preference will be given to candidates who have demonstrated leadership ability through their studies, employment, or extracurricular activities
  • Availability to participate in the Summer Associates Program full-time from June to August 2026 for approximately 11 weeks with minimal absence
