Job Scope
M-D Building Products, a domestic manufacturing company, is seeking a motivated Human Resources Intern to join our Oklahoma City office for a summer internship from June 1, 2026, through July 31, 2026. This opportunity is ideal for a college student interested in gaining hands-on experience in Human Resources. The selected intern will support the HR team with day-to-day activities while gaining exposure to key functions such as payroll, benefits administration, recruiting, administrative operations, and community relations.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong desire to learn, excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to supporting team initiatives, while gaining valuable insight into real-world HR processes in a collaborative office environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with executing monthly employee engagement activities
- Support various HR research initiatives and special projects
- Maintain and organize employee files and documentation
- Provide general administrative support to the HR department
- Assist with onboarding activities, including preparing new hire packets and orientation materials
- Perform clerical tasks such as copying, scanning, and document management
- Maintain strict confidentiality when handling employee information and HR documentation
- Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a college or university, preferably pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- High attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Positive attitude and eagerness to learn about Human Resources
