Position Summary:
The Trainer is responsible for leading and facilitating training programs for Team Members to enhance their skills, knowledge, and productivity in their role within the organization. Perform responsibilities in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for practicing, supporting, and promoting North Fork Mono Casino & Resort's culture and always demonstrating exemplary Service Standards.
- Responsible for facilitating new hire orientation on a weekly basis, including set up, breakdown, ensuring technology is in working order and all materials are ready for each session.
- Manages the LMS system (Vector Solutions/Casino Essentials) and ensures that all new hires are entered into the system and required training is completed in a timely manner.
- Develop and deliver training modules in both classroom and virtual settings.
- Create and customize training materials, including presentations, handouts, and assessments, to ensure engagement and comprehension across varied demographics.
- Maintains the Training Room, including managing the schedule of the room for other departments.
- Assist with internal communications, such as bulletin boards, Team Member newsletters, HR TV screens.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in employee training and development.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
- Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.
- Ability to facilitate group learning processes and discussions to ensure all participants feel included and achieve effective learning outcomes.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related program software.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree in related area preferred.
- Minimum of one (1) year training/facilitation experience required; casino/gaming experience preferred.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Commission.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Physical Requirements:
- All work will be performed on site in Madera, CA.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- Manual dexterity to operate job related equipment.
Work Conditions:
Team Members will be in constant contact with fellow Team Members and Guests. Work includes the maintenance and care of assigned work area. Work is typically performed in an office environment. However, work may be in an area which may be unusually hot, cold, noisy, and may contain secondhand smoke. Work may be performed in a confined area. Work may be scheduled at various hours, including working overtime, and during evening, weekends, and holidays. Work may entail trained chemical usage. Work is in a high volume, fast paced environment with frequent interruptions.
