About the Department
The Human Services Licensing Representative position with the Bureau of Human Services Licensing, offers a chance to support the safety and quality of assisted living services. This role allows you to help providers meet important standards and ensure strong care for residents. Position Duties
This position focuses on inspecting assisted living residential homes and reviewing compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. As a Human Services Licensing Representative, you will perform the following duties:
- Application Review: Examine licensure application materials submitted by assisted living providers
- Facility Inspection: Conduct on-site reviews of buildings and records to assess compliance
- Licensing Actions: Recommend approval, renewal, or revocation decisions based on established guidelines
- Provider Guidance: Assist agencies and individuals with licensing processes and regulatory questions
- Complaint Investigation: Analyze incidents and determine corrective actions or sanctions when needed
- Interagency Communication: Exchange information with state and local officials about requirements and standards

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Travel is required
- Work hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Home Headquartered: This position is home headquartered. In order to be home headquartered, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.

Minimum Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of professional experience gathering and analyzing information in a social service or law enforcement program, and a bachelor’s degree; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:
- You must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Central Region which includes counties Somerset, Cambria, Blair, Bedford, Huntingdon, Fulton, Franklin, Mifflin, Juniata, Perry, Cumberland, Adams, Dauphin, York, Lebanon, and Lancaster.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
