Your Opportunity

Our Global Mining team has a need for a Hydrogeology Intern based out of our office in Fort Collins or Denver, CO. You would work within our mining, minerals and metals team in support of various clients in completing exciting hydrogeology projects related to underground and surface mining operations, conceptual and numerical groundwater modeling, and field studies. Additional opportunities may include work on other projects such as aquifer storage and recovery, water supply, and well installation and testing.

Your Responsibilities

  • Work with a multi-discipline hydrogeology, hydrology, and engineering team on a day-to-day basis.
  • Participate in team meetings and project meetings.
  • Actively engage with project team members such as project managers and project technical leads to complete tasks.
  • Contribute to development of hydrogeologic conceptual and numerical groundwater models with required supervision commensurate with your level of experience. Specific tasks may include:
    • Pre- and post- processing of model inputs and results
    • Evaluating model calibration performance and sensitivity
  • Collect and/or analyze field data including:
    • Well installation and drilling data
    • Pumping test analysis
    • Well sampling
  • Contribute to the preparation of quality technical documents and/or drawings.
  • Produce technical report or presentation to project team on a specific project which you’ll be assigned.
