As a full stack engineer on our IBOR technology team, you will play a key role in designing, testing, deploying, and maintaining the firm’s Investment Book of Record (IBOR), our internal ledger of transactions and custodial positions. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of programming technologies, including Python, Rust, AWS serverless technologies, Kafka/Kinesis, React/TypeScript, and C#.NET. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in a formal enterprise-level development environment, with experience in modern backend development and cloud-native technologies.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong programming skills in one or more modern languages such as C#, Python, or Rust
- Rust experience preferred, but not required as a primary language
- Understanding and effective use of the event sourcing pattern in design
- Proven experience building connected, service-oriented applications
- Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, etc.)
- Experience working on web and desktop platforms, with expertise in React, TypeScript, and modern UI frameworks
- Familiarity with enterprise messaging systems such as Kafka or Kinesis
- Experience with database systems (Microsoft SQL Server, Postgres, Snowflake)
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex ideas clearly to various audiences.
- DevOps Knowledge: Experience with JIRA, Git, Jenkins, and Octopus Deploy.
