Position Overview:
As an Infection Preventionist, you will conduct targeted infection surveillance activities, including investigating and responding to outbreaks of infections among patients and personnel. You will develop and deliver education on preventative measures, ensuring the implementation of best practices to control infections. The role is vital in maintaining compliance with regulations and standards set by regulatory and accrediting agencies, supporting IU Health’s commitment to excellence in patient safety.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience is required.
- Bachelor's Degree within a clinical discipline preferred.
- Requires 0-3 years of relevant experience.
- 2+ years of years of experience preferred.
- Prior experience in a Healthcare related field is preferred.
- Requires Certification in Infection Control (CIC) or Associate-Infection Prevention and Control (a-IPC) certification within 2 years of hire. CIC is preferred.
- Knowledge of infectious disease, epidemiology, asepsis and immunology, medical procedures, or medical and environmental microbiology is preferred.
