I. Position Overview: The Terrible’s Internship Program provides students and recent graduates with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a professional business environment. Interns will support departmental projects, contribute to daily operations, and develop workplace skills while being mentored by experienced leaders. This position is designed to offer exposure to multiple aspects of the business, preparing interns for future career opportunities by combining meaningful work assignments with training, collaboration, and professional development.

II. Program Details:

a. Eligibility: Currently enrolled college students, or recent graduates, with a study concentration in the business area; minimum GPA 3.0

All students must have been enrolled in a post-secondary institution during the previous academic semester to be eligible to participate.

b. Compensation: $12.00/hour

c. Schedule: 15–20 hours per week, subject to Intern’s class schedule

d. Format: In-person (not remote)

e. Duration: 12 weeks

f. Structure: Rotational experience across core business functions

​III. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The Intern will support multiple business functions and gain exposure to day-to-day operations within the assigned department.

During the course of the internship, the Intern will:

  • Provide project administration and research support for department leaders.
  • Observe and contribute to department best practices.
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
  • Build relationships with leaders and expand professional knowledge.
  • Create Word, Excel, and PowerPoint documents to support department projects.
  • Assist with research and execution of departmental initiatives.
  • Review and update databases, files, or systems as needed.
  • Create and distribute materials to support meetings and presentations.
  • Prepare and present a Capstone Project to demonstrate skills and knowledge gained during the Internship.

IV. Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Desire to learn about business operations and professional development.
  • Strong research and project management skills.
  • Minimum GPA: 3.0.

b. Language Skills: Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is required to read and interpret documents, instructions, and manuals, as well as to communicate effectively.

c. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
