Primary Purpose
Performs foundational accounting tasks, including journal entries and reconciliations, to maintain accurate financial records. Supports timely reporting that enables compliance and operational transparency.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs routine accounting activities such as preparing journal entries, assisting with monthly and quarterly close processes, and supporting general ledger maintenance.
- Reviews and posts journal entries, reconciles account balances, and investigates discrepancies to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Supports the maintenance and functionality of accounting systems, identifying and reporting any operational issues.
- Analyzes and resolves outstanding items in the general ledger, including historical balances, through detailed research and collaboration with relevant teams.
- Monitors compliance with internal accounting policies and procedures, helping to ensure adherence to financial controls and reporting standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
