Our team partners closely with product, test, and firmware engineering groups to streamline development processes, strengthen customer deliverables, and accelerate time‑to‑market through AI‑driven solutions.
Position Overview
The AI Agent Development Intern will prototype and deliver practical agentic workflows that enhance documentation creation, modernize test software and firmware, and synthesize market intelligence. In this role, you will own a scoped project with defined outcomes, collaborate with cross‑functional partners, and iterate quickly to build scalable solutions that support Micron’s productization efforts.
Responsibilities
- Develop AI agents using tools such as Windsurf, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, and Copilot+ to automate documentation creation, code modernization, and intelligence gathering.
- Generate application notes and technical documents by retrieving internal artifacts, applying required formatting, and preparing content for external publishing.
- Build agent workflows to refactor, update, and extend legacy test software/firmware, including generating unit tests where needed.
- Produce device‑trimming documentation from test software outputs to support customer test platform development.
- Create workflows that search, summarize, and categorize market and competitive intelligence, ensuring information is organized and easily retrievable.
Minimum Qualifications
- Engineering background with hands‑on coding or scripting experience (Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar).
- Ability to quickly learn new tools such as Windsurf, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, and Copilot+.
- Strong ownership mindset and willingness to learn and execute projects on short timelines.
- Ability to translate prior examples into automated agent workflows that incorporate retrieval, templating, and basic QA.
- Clear communication and collaboration skills across cross‑functional engineering and product teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Computer Science (software engineering, scripting, data processing) or Electrical Engineering (semiconductor devices, test, product).
- Familiarity with semiconductor test software/firmware, device characterization, or technical documentation (app notes, trimming docs, customer deliverables).
- Exposure to LLM and agentic patterns such as tool calling, retrieval, and evaluation, as well as navigating large codebases.
- Experience working with CI/CD or content‑publishing pipelines.
- Background creating reproducible automation with runbooks, quality checks, or basic telemetry.
