Position Overview

HealthStream is seeking a Business Analyst Intern to join Agile Program Management team for Summer 2026. This role offers a unique opportunity to work across our organization of 50+ development teams, contributing to initiatives in process improvement, development metrics and reporting, documentation standards, and AI tooling strategy.

 

The intern will gain hands-on experience with real enterprise challenges including data validation, dashboard development, cross-team standardization audits, and documentation modernization. This is an ideal position for someone interested in the intersection of business analysis, data analytics, and software engineering operations within a technology company.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Validate, audit, and troubleshoot issues with the development metrics data model and reports
  • Expand Development Metrics reporting by contributing additions to executive-level dashboards and team-level KPIs
  • Audit development team boards across the organization and recommend opportunities for greater standardization and alignment
  • Organize and update Agile development standards documentation across Confluence and Git, including structure improvements and visual schematics
  • Compile and organize materials related to AI tool adoption, usage metrics, and value-tracking frameworks
  • Help design a structured approach to impediment tracking across teams
  • Research and help build an individual developer contribution scoring model, including a skills inventory with proficiency ratings
  • Participate in team meetings, sprint ceremonies, and cross-functional discussions to build context across the engineering organization
  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders at the conclusion of the internship
